Business Development Specialist Required in Dubai
KPS Mart is responsible for all furniture related activities at KPS. This includes sales to both new and existing clients, for small, medium, and large-scale projects. The department’s work covers estimation, furniture procurement and logistics, including delivery and installation, through to follow-up and aftercare. The KPS Mart business unit interacts with the business development, design, commercial and construction teams at KPS.
Job purpose
The role of the Business Development Specialist is to identify new business opportunities for KPS Mart, generate revenue, improve profitability, and help the business thrive and grow. The role includes supporting the development of strategies to increase revenue and remain competitive. The Business Development Specialist is responsible for generating small, medium, and large-scale projects leads, through to installation and follow-up.
Operational responsibilities
1. Research new business opportunities to meet the business needs of KPS Mart, including growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services.
2. Support partners to increase the visibility and reputation of KPS Mart, seeking out the appropriate contacts and generating leads to enhance business growth.
3. Identify customer needs and respond appropriately with plans on how to meet these needs. This extends to research of options for furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) as well as custom products.
4. Develop in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities and increase growth.
5. Arrange business meetings with potential clients and partners to support business development opportunities for KPS Mart. This includes business presentations and creating compelling proposals for clients.
6. Support networking opportunities to build relationships for the KPS Mart business, including internal event support and attending external events.
7. Coordinate with other KPS team members and departments to optimise sales efforts.
8. Create and maintain visibility of sales pipeline and activity/results reporting and forecasting, to maintain and monitor the pipeline and create data.
Required qualifications, experience and skills
1. Degree educated, in business, marketing or design.
2. Up to two years’ proven work experience as a BD manager, sales executive, or a relevant role.
3. Proficient commercial awareness.
4. Demonstrated interpersonal abilities.
5. Demonstrated communication skills in English, both written and oral.
6. Solid relationship management skills, both internal and external
7. Demonstrated sales and customer service skills.
8. Demonstrated ability to work with and across teams.
Desirable qualifications, experience, and skills
1. Ideally interior fit-out industry experience specifically in a BDM or sales role, for high-end furniture, flooring, glazing, lighting, decoration, or other interior fit-out suppliers that collaborate with designers to drive sales.
2. Additional qualifications in sales management, e.g. ILM, Institute of Marketing, Institute of Sales - ISM.
