Role
The Senior Manager Finance role is a central function of the business. As a key centralized department, this role oversees the smooth financial operations of numerous departments and brands in different locations, to ensure key commercial objectives are achieved on time in the most efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
Complete management of the Finance function on a centralized basis. This includes setting out, implementing and updating finance policies and processes that reflect the needs of the growing business lines.
A keen understanding of the company ERP system (SAGE) to manage both finance and procurement for the businesses, ensuring risks are managed prudently. This
managing and setting up the approved Authority Matrix on the system.
Ensure the integration of the ERP and CRM work seamlessly.
Oversight of each financial module: Receivables and Collections, Payables, General Ledger, Balance Sheet schedules, Fixed Assets, Liabilities and loan schedules Intercompany balances
Ensure employee data is accurately and appropriately reflected in the financial statements, with on-going management of provisioning policies in compliance with employment contracts and Labour Law
Management of the annual budgeting process across the organization.
Compliance with all tax requirements (VAT, Corporate Tax), all system to be tax compliant and ensure reporting to Tax Authorities is accurate and prompt.
Management Reporting: Monthly and quarterly reporting by department and by each legal entity, highlighting any potential risks.
Monthly financial forecasting with every department to ensure the organization is on track to meet budget; more frequent updates from revenue- generating departments.
Analyse foreseeable financial risks and prepare risk mitigation plan to ensure the company is able to meet its financial commitments.
Cashflow management on a monthly basis
Ensure collections (from lease revenue, events, sponsorship, consulting) are on track. Risks to be escalated.
On going risk management to ensure the interests of the company are protected at all times. This includes contract reviews with Compliance and on-going training of the teams to understand financial risks.
Prepare financial feasibilities for any new business idea/proposition to assess its return / investment risk to the company.
Candidate
Educated to a Master’s degree level or equivalent in Finance/Accounting
Professional certification in Finance (Chartered Accountant or CFA)
8-10 years’ experience in the Finance function, with at least 4 years in the capacity a Senior Manager.
Experience with managing a team of at least 3 direct reports.
