Senior Accountant Required in Dubai

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our client's renewable energy company. The ideal candidate will manage their financial records, ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations, and oversee our treasury operations to manage the bank transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting:

• Monthly books closing: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
• Reconciliations: Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Audit: Coordinate with external auditors for information and documents assistance
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and file VAT returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee AP/AR functions, ensuring timely payments and collections and reconciliations.
Treasury Management:

• Cash/Bank Management: Monitor daily cash levels, manage bank payments and postings
• Project Management: Proper accounting for Project related costs
• Banking Relationships: Maintain and manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
• Treasury Systems: Implement and manage treasury management systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• ACCA or CA Inter, or similar professional certification is preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of -5 years of experience in accounting and treasury management, preferably in the renewable energy sector or a related industry.
• Strong understanding accounting concepts and VAT.
• Experience with finance Accounts Payable, Accounts receivable and

• Experience in managing cash flows

Skills:

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of renewable energy industry financial practices is a plus.
